Valerie is a multimedia journalist based in New York City.  They are a Master of Arts in Journalism candidate at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. Valerie reports on local stories and solutions to the systemic issues facing people's lives. They have reported for award-winning media outlets like City Limits, WHYY's PlanPhilly, Germantown Info Hub, and WBAI Pacifica. In their free time, they enjoy hiking and are teaching themself how to skateboard.
